About Resource Therapy
Resource Therapy is a parts based therapy that was established by Professor Gordon Emmerson originally from Helen & John Watkins Ego-state therapy. Resource therapy theorises that the personality is made of different parts. In order for healthy psychological functioning it is necessary that these individual parts feel safe and have the same common goal of inner peace and the ability of the person to function effectively and efficiently.
Marcelle is a Clinical Resource Therapist who is passionate about observing positive change and increased healthy functioning in individuals. Achieving a Bachelor of Psychological Science at Deakin University in 2018, Marcelle became aware of Resource therapy’s rapid success in treating trauma. Learning that with self-compassion, individuals can transform wounded personality parts into empowered resources, increasing strength and capacity. Marcelle’s Foundation and Clinical Resource Therapy training was directed by Psychologist and Advanced Clinical Resource Therapy Trainer - Melanie Canning.
